10 Mega-Hyped 2014 Video Games That Will Definitely Disappoint

3. Bayonetta 2

Bayonetta was a niche release from genre experts Platinum Games, but in many ways it caught a good degree of mainstream success. In terms of gameplay mechanics and stylistic technique, it€™s probably the best hack and slash game since Devil May Cry 3. So when Nintendo announced Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive and one of their flagship titles, I was overwhelmingly excited. When something takes ages to release though and has little information along the way, your enthusiasm begins to dissipate. This game was announced in 2011 and still doesn€™t have anything resembling a release date. If we had some tantalising gameplay footage showing off a boss battle or some new weapons, maybe I€™d feel different. As of right now though, it€™s like waiting for something you really want but deep down know something went wrong and that it won€™t meet expectations. Also, seeing as how the Wii U is essentially a desert filled with tumbleweeds rolling by, you have to wonder if Platinum is having issues developing for the system.
