10 More Video Game Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2020
5. Super Meat Boy Forever
Originally released all the way back in 2010 as a follow up to their Meat Boy flash game, Super Meat Boy is a platforming game designed by Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes that has made a real name for itself in the gaming world.
Following the story of the permanently happy Meat Boy on his quest to save Bandage Girl, Super Meat Boy had gamers everywhere hooked with its fierce difficulty, smooth controlling and unique art style. It had surpassed over a million sales within two years of release, but has kept its fans waiting for a sequel for a decade now.
That wait is set to end this year however, with Super Meat Boy Forever's original 2019 scheduling being pushed back to later this year. Originally only meant to be a mobile game, Meat Boy's popularity proved too much for Refenes and Team Meat to ignore and the game has undergone an extensive development period.
A PAX demo of the game during Nintendo's Nindies 2017 Summer tour has been one of the few glimpses we've seen of Meat Boy Forever, and it looks absolutely brilliant so far.
