10 More Weirdest Weapons In Video Game History

3. Chicken - Drakan: The Ancient’s Gates

Chickens seem to appear in almost every medieval fantasy you can imagine. Whether you’re killing them off and sending townsfolk into a frenzy in The Elder Scrolls or just booting them to the high heavens in Fable, pesky poultry always gets mistreated terribly for no reason other than its pretty funny.

We’re terrible people, but yup I’m still gonna be kickin' the chicken.

The Chicken in Drakan: The Ancient’s Gates beautifully encapsulates our weird obsession with those feathery foes by literally being an actual chicken you can clobber people round the head with. I’d describe it more, but it’s literally just a chicken. You grab it by the feet, swing it around and somehow murder troglodytes with a mother-clucking vengeance.

The chicken sword is an easter egg (haha, egg), chucked in by developers that can appears randomly in any of the shops as you traverse the lands around Surdana. For the price of 1 gold, you get a surprisingly durable weapon that deals an alarmingly hefty amount of damage for a blob of feathers.

Makes you think twice about booting them now, doesn’t it? Not really to be honest.
