10 Most Broken Spell Cards In Yu-Gi-Oh!
7. Monster Reborn
Monster Reborn is one of the most recognisable Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in existence and an anime staple with nearly every character abusing the spell at least once per duel.
Monster Reborn is an amazingly simple card, a costless or 'free' spell that allows you to revive and special summon any monster from EITHER graveyard. Like the look of your opponent’s boss monster you just made them discard? Reborn it and add it to your side of the field!
Monster Reborn is one of those cards that’s good at any point in the game and combos with a ton of cards, simply discard your Blue-Eyes White Dragon via Trade-In and instantly reborn it all on the first turn of the game.
Monster Reborn has had a love-hate relationship with the ban list in its time. Like other entries in this list, it was insta banned back in 2004 but came off in 2007. It went back on the ban list during the January 2009 update but off again a year later in 2010. Its last run-in with the ban hammer was in 2013 where it remained until 2018.
Since 2018 Monster Reborn has been legal and limited to one and is a worthy inclusion to any deck.
