10 Most BROKEN Video Game Launches Of The Generation

2. Marvel's Avengers

Mass Effect Andromeda
Square Enix

This one is depressing to write, because it had the potential to be something great. All Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix had to do was liberally "borrow" elements from more successful titles and give us the ensemble game we craved.

The much-touted bridge level was to serve as a sample, a glimpse of the greatness that playing as the Avengers could be. But alas, it was not to be. Consider that a demo, before the game pulls a Brutal Legend and changes it dynamic entirely after that.

So focused were the developers on their several types of currency and tarting up each Avenger that it seems like the gameplay of this video game was a secondary thought. Soon players realised how repetitive it was, hampered by massive technical issues.

It wasn't long before the player base absolutely plummeted, fed up with the issues that plagued any sense of enjoyment. Doing the same gameplay routine to continue was tiresome enough, but doing the same section again because the game would crash was the tipping point.

Fans of the team wanted something that would emulate Rocksteady and Insomniac's success. By the end, we wanted the Avengers to disassemble and call it a day.
