http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXfHNPt2_8E As I write this I've considered swapping this with Shadow of the Colossus, but what keeps FFT at the top of the list are the beautifully rendered cel-shaded cut-scenes. Not many games tend to go down the cel-shaded route, however games like Jet Set Radio, No More Heroes and of course FFT show you how well it can be done. For an updated version of the Square's 1997 release, the cut-scenes really do show what a little bit of hard work and determination can do.
