There once was a time when Grand Theft Auto Online was not a nightmare of unbalanced microtransactions and griefers blowing everybody up with Oppressors (imagine that).

A time when the game's developers still cared about giving everyone equal opportunities to grow and develop—a testament to which is the exploding car trap laid out for some of the game's first cheaters.

Back in 2015, when Grand Theft Auto Online still didn't feature a huge catalog of ridiculous vehicles like Soviet submarines and flying motorcycles, one of the greatest threats to the in-game balance was players illegitimately importing cars from the single-player game.

Those who upgraded their game from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to the new generation of consoles received a special, highly durable car with mounted automated weapons called the Duke O' Death.

Although the car was single-player only, cheaters have discovered a way to spawn it in GTA Online, and when Rockstar found out about that, they decided to lay a trap on them.

Those who'd successfully spawn the Duke were in for a nasty surprise when trying to enter it, as the car would immediately explode!

Too bad these days you don't even have to cheat to have a similar experience.
