Look, with three constant days of conferences and press events, even the tightest of showcases can get a little tedious, and just like everyone watching from home, even the people working at these events probably accidentally zone out from time to time.

But when you're the translator for a highly popular Japanese publisher that's putting on an extremely rare conference of their own at the world's biggest gaming event, falling asleep on the job seems like something you'd actively have to try to do.

While studio heads were coming and going during the Square Enix presser, the off-camera voice who was delivering the information of the conference to those of us who don't speak the publisher's native language suddenly fell silent. Even worse, you could very faintly hear in the background quiet snoring, along with a startling expletive when the translator presumably woke up and realised his mistake.
