10 Most Exciting Open World Video Games Coming In 2018
3. Anthem
Bioware's Anthem stole the show when it was announced at this year's E3. While the developer has historically been known for its gripping single-player RPGs, the studio is attempting to marry that experience going forward with an all-new multiplayer focus.
Taking a few cues from the likes of Destiny, Anthem's gameplay loop looks to be focused on completing missions and gaining new loot with a team of friends, each with their own unique set of powers to help the others out on the battlefield.
It's a structure that will be pretty familiar to fans of similar games, but Anthem's focus on mobility and exploring its open world environments has already set it apart from the competition.
There's little information on the title outside of its initial announcement video, but that blistering first impression was enough to get fans on board with Bioware's latest original game.
