3. GTA V's Teeth-Pulling Torture
One of the most infamous torture scenes in gaming history, GTA V's most controversial moment had you punishing a character for information with an array of ridiculously over-the-top tools at your disposal.
Going overboard with increasingly outrageous methods of torture, the game encouraged you to tear out teeth, break the dude's balls with a wrench and use jumper cables to electrocute his nipples.
It was pretty harrowing to watch and play, but honestly, it's so ridiculous that it can be hard to take seriously at times. Waterboarding someone with gasoline should be revolting, but when you've already done it six times while Trevor won't shut up yapping, it sort of loses its effect.
Still, the amount of horribly brutal ways the game allowed you to push a guy to his breaking point was enough to turn some people off the title for good.
