Mortal Kombat 9 has often been lauded as boasting some of the coolest cheats of the series. The best thing about them was just how simple these cheats were. When the Versus screen loaded, players simply needed to type in a few numbers to make special requests for their game. What makes Mortal Kombat great, for many, is the gruesome and bloody nature of the combats - as well as the intricacy evident in the characters' realistic movements. Combine the bloody battles and the life-like moves with some seriously absurd hacks and you have a particularly memorable game. Sure, the headless kombat (8 0 8) is more of a kooky trick than an enhancement to gameplay. But codes like health recovery (0 9 1) and the frankly terrifying psycho kombat (7 0 7), as pictured above, are seriously kool hacks.
