7. Gravity Gun Half Life 2
The words Valve and Physics now go together like the words American and Dream; with Half-Life 2 and the Source Engine, Valve managed to present the most realistic and subtle display of artificial physics the world had ever seen up to that point. They then proceeded to use those physics to create one of the most incredibly innovative and unique weapons in gaming history: the Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator, affectionately known by fans as the Gravity Gun. Despite being one of the newer weapons on the list, thanks to its uniqueness and the innovation it lends to Half-Life 2s gameplay, it quickly and rightly became one of the more iconic.
