10 Most Impressive Open World Video Games Since 2010
4. Assassin's Creed: Origins
Ubisoft really doesn't get enough credit for Assassin's Creed games. People are often quick to berate them over their yearly release schedule, their uninspired repetition of characters and their butchery of certain historical figures, but people forget just how incredible the worlds they deliver can truly be.
Every Assassin's Creed game is a walk through history and the company's crowning glory is their most recent. Ancient Egypt is replicated in stunning detail and it's incredible vastness. Bigger than all their other games, the amount of content and stunning places to explore is incredibly impressive.
Climbing the Pyramids or sailing down the Nile is incredible, and feels like it is ripped straight from history. Not to mention that the game allows you to control Senu, an eagle, letting you soar across the entire game world unhampered. Exploring the world this way gives you a real respect for what Ubisoft has built, and is highly recommended.
People can argue all they want about the story, the game-play and all the tiniest innaccuracies, but Assassin's Creed: Origins is a genuine triumph for Ubisoft and is one of the most enjoyable worlds to explore and get lost in.
