10 Most Infuriating Cards In Magic: The Gathering

8. Teferi, Time Raveler

While aggro decks are fine, and playing with all of your mana on your own turn is fine also, many magic players enjoy the complexities of playing most of their cards on other peoples’ turns, of playing mind games of whether you have that counterspell in your hand or if you have something to stop the boatload of damage about to come your way.

I’m of course talking about instant spells, one of the most core and key components to any game of Magic the Gathering. Some decks have but a few, others revolve around them, and some people choose to deny everyone this joy. Teferi, Time Raveler completely shuts off other people playing spells outside their own turn, while allowing its caster to maintain this luxury. It completely stops some decks from working at all, forcing players to use their well-planned strategies on their own turn when it’s less convenient or do nothing at all.
