10 Most Infuriating Cards In Magic: The Gathering

5. Time Stretch

There aren’t many things you can do in this game that are better than winning yourself an extra turn. It allows you to set up combos where there were none, lets you play riskier, and more often than not can ensure that you win the game. Annoyingly there are multiple cards in MTG that let you do this, but rest assured that most of these cards require very specific conditions, are hard to pull off, and normally limit you so that you can only do this once every few turns at most.

So, unless your opponent is playing some sort of infinite combo deck which allows them to keep stacking turns, you don’t have to worry about them too much…well, except for this card. Honestly, it astounds me that a spell like Time Stretch was even printed in the first place. For 10 mana, very achievable goal in formats like EDH, you can get 2 extra turns for the price of a single card. If played against you, this spell will singlehandedly force you to sit there twiddling your thumbs as your opponent plays card after card in all three of their turns until they eventually grind you down.
