6. Incredible Crisis
A game that shows what "having a bad day" is really all about. You begin with Taneo, a father and a man just looking to get home for his mother's birthday. The only problem is, Taneo is chased by a giant boulder in an Indiana Jones style, falls from a skyscraper, is thrown from an ambulance, threatened by a femme-fatal, and is forced to stop the army from destroying an invading mothership. These are only half of the events Taneo gets up to in the mini-game fuelled journey home - it's also just one of the storylines, later you'll play as wife Etsuko, daughter Ririka and son Tsuyoshi. Each interweaving story follows one member on their way home for granny Haruko's birthday and the events they get up to, my personal favourite being the giant pink teddy bear invading Tokyo. The story is incredible (insane, but incredible) and each event in turn effects the other members, which adds to this family against the world feeling. Incredible Crisis is one of the most innovative mini-game compilation titles, though unfortunately the game was never issued a sequel.
