10 Most Insane Japanese Video Games Of All Time

7. Seaman

Seaman What do you get if you cross a freshwater fish that has a face, with George Takei? Seaman, of course! Seaman is obscure, to say the least. One of the few games to utilize the Dreamcast's microphone, it plays like an advanced Tamagotchi, giving players an egg to nurture and raise into a strange trivia-filled talking fish that later evolves into a frog like spawn. Without a doubt one of the most disturbing images to be featured on this list. Look back to 1999 when Seaman was a leap in household technology, and it's easy to see why it was one of Japan's highest-selling games - looking at it now, it's difficult to play without losing the will to live. The only thing that seems to make it bearable is the comments, questions and abuse given by Mr. Takei, who voices the creature. Although, any interest I had in meeting Takei were dashed after listening to him utter the words, "Time for a sea dump!", "Tell me, does it taste funny" and "Gross? The word is grotesque."
