9. Frost Giant - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Fantasy lands are the kind of places you need to be equipped for if you want to survive. It should come as no surprise that Tamriel, the homeplace of the Elder Scrolls series, has some very nasty baddies roaming about the place. There are plenty of note, but the Frost Giants of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are absolutely up there.
Regular giants are already game-enders in their own right, but these creatures go even further. They have more health than the one-shot kings and do even more damage. Also, don't forget those frost stats which make them, naturally, immune to frost attacks but susceptible to fire.
These monsters were brought into the game via the Dawnguard expansion, which populated the glacial Forgotten Vale with the creatures.
The most famous of these giants is named Karstaag, who made his first appearance for the franchise in the Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon expansion. He can also be found in the Skyrim Dragonborn expansion, which sees his ghostly spirit become an absolute nightmare of a boss fight.
Overall, the Frost Giants live up to their namesake, as they're chilly customers who you've really got to prep for to tackle. But what a thrill it is to take one down.
