10 Most Overrated Video Games Of 2016
6. Firewatch
Firewatch is an alternately interesting and frustrating "walking simulator" that touts a gorgeous art style, fantastic voice acting and an intriguingly unsettling premise... but doesn't do nearly enough with it.
Ultimately the gameplay is repetitive and uninteresting, and without the marvelous voice-over work, would feel a lot more mundane.
Just when it seems like the game might be going somewhere, it ends in highly anti-climactic fashion, and while it didn't necessarily need to go to a bombastic place to satisfy, its "minimalist" conclusion provoked more of a shrug than anything else.
It just doesn't live up to the strong reviews and cult of fandom that surrounds it. Overwatch is a curiosity, but in the end, it just doesn't meet the hype.
