10 Most Overrated Video Games Of The Past Decade

8. Dishonored 2

The original Dishonored was a good game that masqueraded as a fantastic game, largely thanks to its art-style and world-building. Dishonored 2's world is only a slight improvement upon that of the first game and, while it's still a fun stealth game with an atmospheric setting, it's still clunky to play, dull in regards to plot and characters, and offers much less replay value than you've been led to believe.

Much like the first Dishonored, your choices had no real consequences. The game states that "Revenge Solves Everything", yet if you kill people the game admonishes you. Much like most Telltale Games, it is the illusion of choice, but far less than even those. Dishonored 2 offers good stealth mechanics with lots of replay value, but the story is a slog and the gameplay just isn't very fun, especially if you get caught.

Clearly, with the Dishonored series, critical acclaim did not translate to high sales numbers; in the past few months the studio announced that it was changing direction, moving towards a multiplayer-focused title instead.
