10 Most Overrated Video Games Of The Past Decade

7. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Bethesda

There's something undeniably compelling about Skyrim; its world is iconic, its characters diverse, and the atmosphere top-notch. That said, once the initial awe wore off, Skyrim's sharp edges began to show.

In the 7 years since its release, Skyrim has been completely exposed by subsequent games like The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption II. That's not to say Skyrim is a bad game - you can't really judge a game by what came after it - but its downsides have become more and more prominent over time.

It's main quest line absolutely sucks, its graphics border on headache-inducing, and most missions amount to little more than dungeon crawling to grab some meaningless artefact - far from the masterpiece we once revered it as.

So, in the next few years, when you consider picking up Skyrim on your Tamegotchi, maybe think again.
