10 Most Pathetic Video Game Characters Ever
3. Tingle (Majora's Mask)
There's something to be said for a thirty five year old man in a green body suit and bright red swim trunks. Tingle's design, whether its in the cartoonish cel-shaded games, with his flimsy moustache, or uncannily realistic like in Majora's Mask has always kept him from looking like anything more than a joke.
The guy is even an embarrassment to his own father, as he's ran away from home convinced that he actually should have a fairy like the kokiri children or the game's protagonist, Link. His actual function in his debut game doesn't even serve much purpose as he just sells maps for outside areas, even though the area design of Majora's Mask was intuitive enough to the point that it didn't need maps.
The only thing he offers is a sidequest that nets the player a piece of heart in return for showing a picture of him to his father.
Despite being a complete and total eyesore, Tingle would go on to return in other Zelda games like Wind Waker and Spirit Tracks.
Regardless of what game he was appearing in, his Morphsuit and Speedo combo, paired with the litany of weird sounds he makes, made him a character the player never wanted to have on the screen when their parents walked in.
