Though they have fallen out of favour in recent years, there was a time when rhythm games were dominant in the industry, with Guitar Hero and Rock Band consistently churning out some of the most commercially successful titles on the seventh generation of consoles.

You'd assume that the most difficult achievement to be acquired on a music-based rhythm game would come from playing the most technically taxing song on the hardest difficulty.

However, when deciding how they were going to make fully completing Rockband 2 as agonising as possible for players, Harmonix seemingly decided to go an entirely different route.

Instead of testing the technical abilities of the player, The Bladder of Steel Award achievement makes playing Rockband 2 into a battle of attrition. To successfully earn the accolade, players must complete the game's entire song list without pausing or failing.

A word of advice: Make sure you're batteries aren't low before attempting this mammoth task. Even if the controller dies, the player's progress towards the achievement is completely voided, forcing you to start all over again.

The total time of non-stop, plastic-rocking, button-mashing required to complete this achievement? Six hours and ten minutes.
