Ratchet And Clank on PS4 is a perfect example of how to remake a video game. Insomniac bedazzled their original title with so much flair and steeped it in a vat of gorgeous graphics that makes the bubbly, loveable characters almost come out of the screen. They even included a gun that pixelates your enemies, among other inventive weapons exclusive to the remake.

The final battle battle against Dr. Nefarious is where the game culminates in style, though. You're aboard the Deplanetizer, grinding through an industrial nightmare as lasers and debris fly at you from all angles.

It's a huge set piece that does an excellent job of using everything you've learned so far in the game. Later you find yourself floating around on a jetpack circling a burning planet, a cage match with Dr Nefarious that can only end one way.

An excellent conclusion to a wonderful game, and something to be remembered for a long time.
