10 Obscure Video Game Movie Tie-Ins You Had No Idea Existed

2. Warpath: Jurassic Park

EA

Jurassic Park received a few licensed game spin-offs during the nineties, including the infamous Trespasser, which promised to be a grounding breaking first person adventure game but instead limped onto shelves hopelessly broken.

EA had to milk the license for all it was worth, and after presumably overhearing a chat between school kids about which dinosaur would win in a fight – a T-Rex or a Triceratops – came the brain wave; a fighting game! The end product was Warpath, where friends could pit various dinosaurs against one another; until they realised the game was kind of dull and went back to Tekken 3 instead.

The game isn’t awful, but the sluggish controls and lousy hit detection take a lot of the intensity out of the fights. Plus, the game had to cater to the fact the dinosaurs are all different sizes, resulting in the Raptor and the T-Rex being roughly the same height, which looks silly no matter the justification.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
