10 Once Great Video Game Franchises That Should Disappear
3. Sonic Oh how I wish the blue hedgehog would curl up in to a ball and speed off in to the sunset. Personally, Sonic has always lived in the shadow of his Italian plumber counterpart, ever since day dot. Sonic, for me, died when SEGA died. Sonic was always the face of SEGA and when it ceased to bring out any further consoles, Sonic should have gone with it. How dare the SEGA mascot believe he could bully his way on to multiple platforms! You don't see Mario doing that?. Sonic was a great game, make no mistake. I thoroughly enjoyed playing all of the series, but when it started to branch out following the demise of SEGA it somewhat felt cheap and false. I can't bring myself to comprehend Sonic games appearing on the Nintendo Wii. Sonic sold his soul to the Devil. He was on the edge. He had nowhere else to turn but the evil grins of all of whom he once despised came calling and I'm sorry, but Sonic should take a long proud walk in to the distance, never to be seen again.
