10 One-Hit Kill Video Game Bosses That Made You Rage
4. Murai - Ninja Gaiden
If you like tough video games like the Dark Souls series, but hate the fact that they're well-crafted, then you should definitely try the 2004 reboot of Ninja Gaiden. Okay, so a lot of people love this game - though I think most will agree go for the 2005 re-release, Ninja Gaiden Black. And not just for the 'Ninja Dog' easy mode.
Easy mode or not, the first boss of the game, Murai, is not your friend. I mean technically he is. He's your clan's closest ally and your uncle and all that - but he will straight up kill you (spoiler alert - he's also really not your friend). He is the end of the tutorial and by the end of it you have learned one very important thing about Ninja Gaiden: It hates you and wants you to suffer.
While technically Murai, with his twin nunchaku, can't really kill you in one hit (unless you walk into the fight with low health, of course) he can chain you into a combo that, without ample maneuvering and reflexes, will bring your thumbs to their knees. What would a thumb's knees be called? Knuckles?
They'd probably be called Murai's b*tch.
