10 One-Hit Kill Video Game Bosses That Made You Rage

Gears of War is a game about really big men fighting even bigger aliens on a distant world. It sold so well that cover-based shooters mimicking its gameplay became a mainstay of action games for the next few decades. Gears of War was such a pivotal point in action games that one of the developers of the first Uncharted game admitted that Naughty Dog delayed their games' release in order to study it, in an attempt to make Uncharted resemble it more, gameplay-wise.

One of the boss battles in the first Gears game was against a gigantic frenzied, albeit blind, creature called the Berserker. You couldn't kill it through traditional means - you had to shoot it and bait it toward you, so that it would run past you and break down a barrier before you could finally kill the beast with an orbital city, destroying weapon called the Hammer of Dawn.

Did I mention that part out about making it run past you after baiting it? I certainly hope I did, because if it catches you, you go down in the first hit. Hopefully your teammates can bait it away long enough to heal you or you're dead.
