10 One-Hit Kill Video Game Bosses That Made You Rage

2. Sinistar - Sinistar

The goal of the old arcade game Sinistar is twofold - first of all you, as a space fighter pilot, have to destroy other alien space fighters and planetoids in order to gather homing missiles depicted on screen as a really thick dot - because graphics were limited in 1983. The other task is to destroy the giant living space station, or whatever the hell that thing is, called Sinistar.

As you might expect from an '80s arcade game, the real goal is to try not to hemorrhage quarters while you're playing. Which you will certainly do - not only will one bullet from the alien spaceships instantly kill you, but Sinistar himself moves way faster than you do. If he bumps into you, you die instantly. But if he gets too close to you, he will open his fanged maw and suck you into an inescapable instant kill maneuver.

You need a whopping thirteen of the homing rockets, referred to as 'Sinibombs' - which sounds kind of delicious - to kill the bastard. All the while he calls you Ron Howard!

Oh... 'Run Coward' - yeah, that actually makes a lot more sense.
