10 Overlooked Movie Licensed Games (That Were Actually Awesome)

9. The Lion King

Scott Pilgrim Game
Sega

With graphics that were pretty amazing at the time, The Lion King came out in the years where, shockingly, movie tie-ins based on children's animations could still be good.

However, there was one tiny hitch when the game actually came out: it was hard. Like, really, really hard. Like, no kid would ever be completing this game, and even most of their parents would be throwing the controller in frustration when they got their hands on it hard.

But if you could get over the insane difficulty, then The Lion King was a very satisfying platformer for the time - one that came with the movie's fantastic soundtrack to boot - and a much better game overall than you'd ever expect an Disney classic adaptation to be.
