3. Arc Raiders
A surprising and exciting announcement at the Game Awards in 2021, Arc Raiders is a third person free to play multiplayer shooter where you'll team up with friends to fight off a mechanical alien threat. The trailer shows the resistance fighters battling drone-like enemies as well as enormous spider robots.
This is the first offering from newly formed Embark Studios, which consists of former EA veterans who worked on the battlefield series. There is said to be an advanced AI system for the enemies, who will adapt to your tactics and switch up their attack patterns rather than running to a routine like in other shooter titles.
The game will feature diverse, stunning environments for players to team up with their friends to fight against the invasion using a variety of weapons, movement and abilities. At one point in the gameplay footage, a player uses a gadget to launch themselves through the air onto the top of a large mechanized foe.
Arc Raiders will release on Xbox Series consoles, PlayStation 5 and PC at some point in 2022. There should be more information released shortly so keep your eyes peeled for the next big free to play adventure.
