10 PS1 Games That Completely Messed With Your Mind

1. Fluid

Some games can be difficult to explain. What doesn't help is when an electronic music creation game is also mostly a game about awkwardly steering a dolphin through a post-apocalyptic underwater world. The aim of Fluid is to collect elements of music during your aquatic travels as the mammalian hero and piece the samples together into a track back on dry land. The dolphin's further travels can then be used as a playback tool to listen to and perfect your own musical creation.

Whilst rudimentary compared to music making games later available on the system, such as Music 2000, what Fluid lacked in creative potential, it made up for in its serene, mesmerising, if inexplicable gameplay. Sadly there was no sequel to Fluid in any format, depriving us of a chance to see where the series would go next, although it would receive a Japanese re-release through the PlayStation store in 2007.
