10 Rarest Choices In RPG Video Games
3. Just Say No (Cryptmaster)
Cryptmaster is a one-of-a-kind RPG where you type words to perform skills and actions. It's worth your time if you want to try something fresh yet familiar. But for now, let's skip to the end of the game and focus on the most important word of all, "No."
At the climax of this awesome (and linguistical) RPG, you are faced with two options. The first is to side with the titular Cryptmaster, type the word "Kill", and escape the underworld, allowing the undead to populate the Earth. The second is to side with the final boss and type "Smash," ending your connection to the eponymous necromancer and maintaining the status quo.
However, there is a secret third option where you simply say "No."
This act of non-compliance, as the game itself labels it, leads to a surprisingly harmonious ending wherein the living and the dead both get what they want. Those above get to keep the world they know, and the dead are allowed to visit, with many of them realising they prefer it in the underworld. This secret ending, which provides the achievement "Just Say No," is a path rarely taken, with only 5.2% of players (via Steam) discovering and choosing it.
