This odd JRPG follows a shapeshifter in the period before World War I who must save both the world and the girl he loves. Shadow Hearts isn't a great game, with a combat system and plot that plays like a poor person's Final Fantasy, but that hasn't stopped in going up in value in recent years, with it fetching around $100 on eBay. Its sequel, Shadow Hearts Covenant, is an all-round better game, but is only worth around $80 on eBay; a shocking fact that makes you reflect on the injustice of the world and the irrationality of the game collectors' scene for ascribing less value to a superior product.
