10 Reasons Battle Royale Is Dying

3. Limited Self-Satisfaction

You've spent your first ten hours playing your favourite Battle Royale mode and after screams of frustration and countless near misses, you've finally scored that first big win.

The relief is palpable, the joy overwhelming if not short-lived, but what now?

That's the big problem and question with Battle Royale modes. While some people will simply keep going and going and set new goals for themselves, nothing can ever beat that initial feeling of getting the first 'W' on the board.

Diluted feelings when playing a game are often a source of players coming away from their gaming chairs and changing things up, and there's no doubt the excitement around getting a win loses its appeal over time.

There simply has to be more to games for a lot of players in the current era of gaming other than simply striving for that same goal over and over again throughout the day.
