10 Reasons Watch Dogs Is A Huge Disappointment

5. Repetitive And Irritating Missions

Those expecting highly original gameplay from Watch Dogs are likely to be the most disappointed, as it borrows heavily from other recent Ubisoft games, such as Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The campaign requires players to battle through an unpleasant number of stealth and tail missions which simply kill the game's pacing stone dead, and in the case of the former, being spotted will often result in an instant game over. While these outings are annoying, the true disappointment stems from the repetitiveness of the missions themselves: the majority of the campaign's levels involve some variation of either a) enter a large area, stealth it or kill everybody, then hack something, or b) run a guy off the road and then kill him, such that most of the missions tend to blur together and, combined with the plot, just aren't very memorable. More to the point, there aren't really any fun "downtime" missions like there are in the GTA games, no simple, silly missions that let us catch our breath and have a laugh.
