10 Reasons You Should Play This Generation's Worst Video Games
1. No Man’s Sky
A tier above Fallout 76, No Man’s Sky is a much better example of how time can truly fix a game.
Perhaps said time can't amend the original to become a masterpiece, but in the case of No Man’s Sky, we see a project go from over-promised and unfinished to full actualisation of what it wanted to be all those years ago.
Everyone remembers the hype, interviews upon interviews with Sean Murray, a man now up there with Todd Howard and Peter Molyneux as the lying salesmen of the industry.
To be fair to Murray, he got in over his head and was overwhelmed at having so many cameras and microphones pointed at him. He didn’t want to lie, he wanted everyone to be as excited as he was for his game. A game that skewed from the schedule and ended up burning hundreds of thousands of players.
Yet, four years later, the developers have not stopped pumping out updates and content for the game. Seriously, they shut their mouth and got on with it, adding all the promised features and more.
It’s important to remember, this game isn’t for everyone but if there is one game on this list that truly deserves a second chance, it’s No Man’s Sky.
