10 Reasons You Should Revisit Skyrim Before The ‘Anniversary Edition’

6. Climbing Every Mountain

If you’ve played Skyrim for any length of time, you’ll have hiked your way up the 8,000 steps of the Throat of the World to the group of crotchety old men who live at the job, only to have them shout at you. But did you know there are a bunch of other mountains to conquer?

In the Dragonborn DLC, the island of Solstheim is home to four mountain peaks – Frykte Peak, Hvitkald Peak, Mortrag Peak and Mount Moesring. The catch? You have to climb up to the summit in order to mark them on your map. Once you’ve mastered the mountain, you can fast travel there at any time.

The climbs are dangerous, with many places that an unsteady Dragonborn could slip. But if you make it to the top, the views over the island are spectacular.

Of course, these mountains will still be there in the Anniversary Edition. But with the cold wet weather of the Survival Mode, the path to the top will likely be much more difficult than it is right now.
