10 Reasons You Should Revisit Skyrim Before The ‘Anniversary Edition’
5. Building Your Own Lakeside House
One of Skyrim’s DLCs, Hearthfire, introduced three plots of land that you could purchase and build your own slice of paradise on, but one of the three was vastly superior to the others.
Lakeview Manor, in the forests of Falkreath, not only presents stunning views of the lake below, but it’s also closer to a hold city than the other two and sits not far from an altar where you find a necromancer. Now traditionally necromancers don’t make great neighbours – they’re great at raising a family though. * However, once you clear this pesky squatter off your land, you can concentrate on making Lakeview Manor the home you always dreamed of.
With all of Skyrim’s mods being included in the upcoming Anniversary Edition, you’ll still be able to build to your heart’s content when it arrives. But with Survival Mode, not to mention fishing, it sounds like you’ll want to do a lot of exploring before settling down. The solution? Get all your building done now, so you can take the Nord equivalent of a gap year to explore the new content.
*This whole point was just so I could make this joke. Worth it.
