10 Reasons You Should Revisit Skyrim Before The ‘Anniversary Edition’
7. Adding ALL THE MODS
Skyrim is one of the most modded games in the history of modded games – with over 28,000 mods in the Steam Workshop alone, and plenty more on sites like Nexus Mods.
Ranging from simple texture changes to adding armour, weapons and mounts, the scope to which you can change your game using combinations of these mods is truly breath-taking.
And it’s not just additions to the game – some of the most popular Skyrim mods re-jig the world from the ground up. In fact, many of the features added in the upcoming Anniversary Edition have already been released as standalone mods – with one of the most popular overhauls, SkyrimUI, turning the game into a Survival Mode.
A huge part of the upcoming Anniversary Edition is the Creation Club additions; 74 player-made creations which range from armour to houses and more. There’s no news as to whether these will include your favourite mods, but if you’re not finished playing as a purple-haired flying centaur just yet, you’ve still got a few weeks at least.
