10 Reasons You're Wrong About Star Wars Battlefront

7. Level Design Is Fantastic

I€™ve played my fair share of video game adaptations of the Battle for Hoth. It€™s one of the most iconic sequences of the franchise, incorporating all its greatest elements, so it€™s no wonder it has been used in countless Star Wars games. And after playing the Battlefront beta, I can safely say it was hand down the best video game version of that sequence. It terms of sheer scale and detail it has no match. The Hoth map is huge, so huge you would think it would be easy to get lost, but the level design is so good you instantly understand the layout. Too often large maps are too intimidating to have fun for certain players, but Battlefront€™s Hoth map doesn€™t have this problem at all. It€™s easy to navigate and know exactly where you are going despite the constant sound and fury escalating all around you. What makes it even better is the real time progression as the AT-ATs move the action forward. It gives the game a sense of momentum that is lacking from Call of Duty or Halo. There is never a dull moment because the level is designed to push you towards conflict, and it does so with such precision, offering a near perfect balance of offensive and defensive environmental elements. It rewards you regardless of your type of play style, making it easy for newbies and pros alike to jump in and have fun.
