10 Ridiculous DLC Extras Video Games Expected You To Pay For

6. Street Fighter X Tekken - Characters Already On Disc

Breath of the Wild
Capcom/Namco

If you thought the Resident Evil example was bad enough, you haven't seen anything yet. Three years after that debacle, Capcom were back at it.

This time, the versus mode was already included... which you'd hope so in a fighting game.

Now, paying extra for characters was already established at this point. Yes, it sucks, but there you go. However, at least you'd expect to download them as an optional fighter if you wish.

But to find out that these monetary-based extra battlers are already on the disc that you have already bought, and you're paying for the privilege of accessing your own property was just the worst. Capcom's response? They "intended to add the characters locked in the retail versions to save hard drive space".

There was a myriad of problems with SF X T, such as the removal of online tag matches from the Xbox version and its badly optimised Gem system. Yet the character fiasco killed it, as well as the potential hopes of a Tekken X Street Fighter equivalent crossover down the line.

Surely... they can't do anything worse than that?
