10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Release In 2023
5. Castlevania's Reboot
The collective head of the internet was sent spinning last year when Pachinko Parlour company Konami announced that they were returning to their video game roots, revealing a slew of new Silent Hill products.
Of course, the company's dormant IPs are many and beloved. Despite the excitement of both new and remade SH classics, there was talk of which other franchises the business might also return to.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is, according to insiders, getting a full remake that is slated for 2024. Before the event was cancelled, this was reportedly going to be the headline of Konami's E3 2023 presentation that would've also revealed a new instalment in the Castlevania series. With MGS3 and several new Silent Hill games expected next year, it might make more sense if the new vampire-slaying title came sooner rather than later.
For one, if it were to follow the style of the previous entries, that's a title that demands far less dev time and polish. With the series having perhaps the strongest name-value of the three right now due to the success of the animated show and the highly-rated Castlevania flavoured DLC for Dead Cells, it makes sense to strike whilst the iron still remains at a suitable temperature.
Seeing the big three of Konami coming back-to-back-to-back is an extremely exciting prospect that should kick off with a return to the Belmont and Dracula bloodfeud.
