10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Release In 2023
2. Persona 3 Remake
Back in March, diehard Persona fans noticed a very suspicious domain had been registered that seemed to imply a return to Tartarus.
"P3R.JP" certainly spells out something very specific and, what's more, is that Atlus has a history of accidentally giving the game away in this fashion. Similarly, P3R.JP is registered to the same hosting provider as the one behind the pre-release Persona 5 Strikers page.
Coincidence? Many thought so... until footage leaked that seemed to all but confirm the truth.
A small, somewhat low quality sizzle reel appeared online weeks later that featured several Sega properties. It's unknown if it was produced for internal or external use. All the same, aside from what appears to be Sonic Frontiers DLC, the trailer starts with a very brief look at Yukari from Persona 3 firing a bow in full HD.
The style of the gameplay looks exceptionally close to modern Atlus standards - and at this point it's hard to deny the likelihood that it is real.
What this means exactly for Persona 3 isn't clear. After all, the original game (or, rather, it's Portable adaptation) only released for modern systems in January. It's possible that Atlus' plan is to bookend 2023 with Persona 3 releases, especially considering they started the year by saying they had "several unannounced titles" in development.
