10 Scariest Classic Resident Evil Monsters

2. Nemesis

Screen Shot 2013 12 12 At 22 33 17 Widely regarded as one of Resident Evil's most terrifying villains, Nemesis sure keeps you on your toes when facing him. He first appeared in RE3 as a specific BOW - made by crossing a Tyrant with a brain parasite to optimise intelligence. It was an experiment as you can see from Nemesis' raggedy appearance. Nemesis carries a rocket launcher on his arm, he growls "STARS!" from time to time which seems to be the only word he knows, and yes he hates STARS and is on a perpetual mission to kill you, because you, as Jill, are in that hated organisation. Nemesis, for such a big man, can run as swift as a cheetah, he can also infect you with a virus that could mutate you. When engaging with Nemesis, you are given options to flee or fight. There is a knack to defeating him by using the dodge button if you decide to fight him. I never got it right so I used to flee Nemesis in terror, screaming as he opened doors and followed me. If you successfully duke it out with him, he will fall unconscious and spill goodies from his leather coat which can be very useful. Another humanoid scary RE monster that is just determined to beat your ass and stay alive no matter what punishment you throw at it, Nemesis is one tough guy to kill and he will follow you throughout the game. You can identify his whereabouts from his quietly sinister theme tune that has struck fear into many an RE3 fan's heart. Nemesis made RE3 an indispensable game - inducing new heights of terror and panic into the franchise. His olympic gold medal sprinting is the stuff of nightmares.
