10 Secret Video Game Areas You Weren't Meant To Find

3. The Abandoned Rooms At Final Fantasy VII's Honey Bee Inn

The Honey Bee Inn is a brothel where men can go to be "entertained" by women wearing bee costumes. As you do. The establishment can be visited during a quest in Final Fantasy VII, which sees Cloud enact his crossdressing plan in order to gain access to Don Corneo's mansion. Isn't this series just so delightfully weird?

Anyway, the player can only visit two rooms while navigating through the inn, and can peek through the keyholes of another two, but other than that, the building doesn't really afford many exploration opportunities. That is unless you're playing the original Japanese version of the game, which contains a few unused areas linked directly to the Honey Bee Inn, including a sizable main lobby.

Originally, the inn was supposed to have been much bigger, and would've featured multiple floors, a lobby, and waiting area. The lobby itself seems quite polished, and even contains a lot of different dialogue boxes spoken by NPCs.

For some reason, these unused areas have only been found in the original Japanese version's game data, which means that a good portion of the player base will never be able to uncover them.
