Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC, Phantom Liberty, offers a wide variety of new and powerful weapons that you can collect as you finish its associated side gigs. This said, obtaining the items isn’t always as easy as simply following the objectives. In the case of Hawk, one of the better late-game assault rifles, it’s actually doing the opposite.

Hawk is an easily missable reward that you can obtain at the end of Phantom Liberty's main job, “Lucretia My Reflection.” The gig is an escort mission through a series of tunnels that ends with you and your ward, President Myers, escaping to a hideout in Dogtown.

There you, Myers, and Reed will have a brief conversation, after which your companions will head out.

You’re supposed to follow them after the job is done, but if you don’t and instead back further into the hideout, you can spot Hawk resting against the wall.

Given that the reward can only be obtained if you don’t do the obvious thing, most players tend to miss out on this weapon, which is a shame, as its weakening effect and high damage output when landing headshots make it one of the most effective power assault rifles in the game.
