10 Secret Video Game Rewards You Had No Idea Existed
7. Cudgel of the Gold-and-Ebon Queen - Dragon Age: Inquisition
In Dragon Age: Inquisition, your team has to don the best possible equipment to take on the world-ending threats they’re up against. Over the course of the game, you’ll use all manner of legendary and epic items, but most people probably don’t know that the best melee weapon in the game is… a beehive!
In the Trespasser DLC, the player can obtain a beehive mace called the Cudgel of the Gold-and-Ebon Queen that has one of the best stats in the entire game. The mace is an easter egg that can only be unlocked via an unmarked quest at the beginning of the DLC, which is why it’s incredibly easy to miss and most players have no idea it exists.
To get the weapon, you have to give ten Expensive Dog Treats to the mabari that Cullen plays with at the party in Orlais. The treats are scattered around the Winter Palace, so you have to search for them, carefully checking every nook and cranny.
It can be a bit of a hassle to get them all, but once you deliver them to the dog, it will suddenly run off and then return with a giant beehive in its mouth, free for the taking!
