10 Secret Ways Video Games PUNISH You For Acting Stupid
1. Idiot Island - Neon White
Neon White is a fast-paced platformer with FPS elements. The game is designed around quick movement and precision, which is why it expects you to think fast.
However, if you don't, it will make an absolute laughingstock out of you for not being able to match its speed.
In the level "Hellevator," there is a section in which you have to smash through a long array of platforms that block your way to the bottom of the tunnel (hence the name "Hellevator").
The number of obstacles you have to destroy is quite large, so it's easy to turn off your brain and just let your fingers click the jump and attack buttons until you get rid of all of them.
However, the developers have thought of this exact scenario and placed the exit just a few obstacles up from the bottom.
If you smash one platform too many, you can easily miss it, and at that point, your only option is to go further down, right into a lonely bit of dirt called "Idiot Island."
The naming scheme is already pretty disrespectful, but to add injury to insult, there is also no way to get back up from the island.
