10 Secret Ways Video Games PUNISH You For Acting Stupid
7. Instant Replay - Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter
Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter is, like many other Sierra Entertainment point-and-click adventures, a giant death trap where even the simplest of tasks can result in your character's death.
There are so many unique and gruesome ends that your character can experience that any logically thinking players would start acting wary when interacting with new objects.
However, if you do the opposite and casually interact with obvious dangers instead, the game will go the extra mile to make fun of you for it.
Each death in the game comes with a unique animation and narration, but when you decide to interact with a very obvious and very deadly vat of acid, something even more special happens.
Your character dissolves right before your eyes, but then, instead of the regular narration, the game plays another animation in which two alien commentators suddenly appear at the scene for a live reaction to your very stupid and avoidable death.
The aliens even bring up an instant replay of your failure in slow motion to really rub the humiliation in, and while you might be embarrassed, you have to admire their dedication to the bit.
